My name is Anne-Marie Fish, Annie for short. I was born in Australia where I lived until I was 21 years old. From the age of 3 I started dancing in all styles of dance. From Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Song and Dance, Musical Theatre and more. However, I started my career in corporate events at the age of 15 and never stopped.
After finishing high school, I spent a year in a full time dance studio and graduated with a degree in musical theater and commercial dance. From there, I landed my first contract on one of the biggest production shows, “Zingara,” as a chorus girl, which lasted 18 months in total. Continuing in the dance industry, I worked at Warner Brothers Theme Park as a dancer/character as Wonder Woman, Hawk Girl and more.
In 2009 I took off and started a new journey at sea with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. For the next 5 years I had the privilege of dancing in production and musical theater shows such as Saturday Night Fever, In the Air, Fast Forward and many more.
2014 was the year of change. I moved to Panama and began to fall in love with the fitness industry. I enjoyed challenging my body with weights and joined the Crossfit world. In 2016 I started working for Maisa as a Tae Beat instructor, where the combination of dance and fitness came together. During this time I became certified in Functional Fitness here in Panama and became certified as a Pre/Postnatal Fitness Specialist.
Continuing my love for the world of dance and fitness, I am happy to be one of the co-founders of Balans Ballet and Fitness studio here in Panama.
